Many students might not be aware that applying to join a university requires a completely different approach compared to enrolling in a new stage at school. The requirements for admission can differ from one university to another, especially between local and international universities.
Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC) is organizing a live webinar entitled ‘Increase your chances of getting into University – Opportunities & Challenges’ to introduce secondary school students, as well as parents and career guidance and counseling professionals to the importance of early preparation and planning for the university admissions stage. The webinar also aims to inform students of ways to enhance their chances to get into the university of their choice.
The webinar features Dr. Walid Massoud, Manager of Qatar University Testing Center, Ms. Eiman Al-Mejali, Senior Student Recruitment Specialist at Qatar University, and Dr. Nayef Al Yafei, Associate Professor at Texas A&M University in Qatar.
This webinar is part of a series of QCDC’s career development webinars which aims to educate young people about the importance of career planning for their future, by making the correct decisions that help them to choose the appropriate academic and career paths.
The webinar will tackle three main topics:
- How to prepare an application portfolio for admission to local and international universities.
- The different international tests and certificates (such as TOEFL and IELTS).
- Boosting the chances of accepting your admission application.
