Overview

Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), founded by Qatar Foundation (QF), is organizing Career Counselors Hub 2025 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), the U.S. Embassy in Doha, and QF’s Higher Education. The event will be held at Multaqa in Education City on 9–10 September 2025.

The Hub brings together Qatar’s leading stakeholders in career guidance and development to empower counselors and practitioners nationwide. It provides a focused platform for training, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, and is widely recognized as one of the country’s premier forums for the career development community.

Positioned as an operational pillar of the national career guidance framework developed by QCDC in collaborationwith MOEHE and partner institutions, the Hub transformspolicy into coordinated practice. It standardizes counselor capacity-building, promotes best practices and evidence-based tools, and strengthens pathways between schools, higher education, and employers. In doing so, it advances investment in workforce development as part of realizing the Human Development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Event Highlights

Day one, 9 September: The event will open with remarks from QCDC’s Executive Director and representatives from MoEHE, the U.S. Embassy Doha, and QF’s Higher Education Division. A panel discussion titled “Boosting the Role of Career Advisors in Qatar’s HR Development Strategy” will follow from 9 – 9:45am, exploring the pivotal role of career development in Qatar’s long-term human resource sustainable development.

From 9:45am – 2:10pm, counselor training sessions and workshops in both English and Arabic will be held, covering a range of relevant topics. A networking exhibition will run concurrently from 11:25am – 12pm, allowing local universities, government institutions, and educational organizations to connect with attendees.

Day two, 10 September: The second day will focus entirely on in-depth counselor training from 7:30am – 1:15pm, with sessions available in both English and Arabic. The networking exhibition will continue from 9 – 10am, offering more opportunities to engage with exhibitors and expand professional networks.

2025 Doha Counselors Day: In partnership with universities in Education City, this special day will run concurrently with Day 2 of the Hub. It will provide school counselors and administrators with an in-depth understanding of the academic offerings and admissions processes of the Education City institutions. It will also offer a valuable networking opportunity for counselors and university admissions professionals to exchange best practices, insights, and strategies to support student success.
