Background

The Career Counselors Hub (CCH) 2024 represents the exceptional collaboration among key entities dedicated to advancing career counseling and development in the State of Qatar. This initiative is a joint effort by Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), founded by Qatar Foundation (QF), the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), U.S. Embassy Doha, and Qatar Foundation Student Life Department. It underscores a profound commitment to the educational and professional well-being of the nation’s students.

Scheduled for September 24-25 at Multaqa, Education City, this year’s gathering aims to empower career counselors and practitioners throughout Qatar, by bringing together influential stakeholders in the field of career guidance and development to create a unique and comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange and professional growth. Since its inception, the Hub continues to be a leading forum for learning and networking, reflecting its longstanding reputation as a premier learning and networking event for career practitioners.

Highlights                                                                                                                      

Day 1, September 24: The event will kick off with opening remarks from the Director of QCDC and representatives of MoEHE, U.S. Embassy Doha, and QF Student Life Department. Following the opening remarks, counselor training sessions and workshops on various topics in both English and Arabic will be conducted from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Concurrently, a networking exhibition from 10:00am to 12:30pm will bring together local universities, government institutions, and educational institutes for networking purposes. Following the exhibition, the training sessions will continue until the day’s conclusion.

Day 2, September 25: Building on the momentum of the first day, the second day will run from 7:30am to 1:30pm, and will be entirely dedicated to in-depth counselor training sessions and workshops in both English and Arabic.

In addition, the networking exhibition will continue from 10:00am to 12:30pm, offering participants further opportunities to build connections and network with exhibitors. A panel discussion on “The Importance of Building Strong Relationships Between School Counselors and University Admissions” will also be held from 12:10pm to 1:10pm, engaging attendees to reflect on the critical role of effective communication and collaboration.

2024 Doha Counselors Day: In collaboration with Education City partner universities, attendees are invited to the 2024 Doha Counselors Day on Thursday, 26 September 2024, from 8:30am to 1:30pm at Multaqa, Education City. The event aims to provide school counselors and administrators in Qatar with a comprehensive understanding of the academic offerings and admissions processes of the universities located within Education City. It will also offer a significant networking opportunity for counselors and university admissions professionals to exchange knowledge, best practices, and insights to support student success.
